prof. Václav Pačes

Václav Pačes works at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, where he was director. At the time of building the BIOCEV Center, he coordinated his scientific program. His group was second in the world to read the complete genome of the PZA virus. He deals with genomics including practical applications of knowledge of genetic information of organisms. In the past he also served as Chairman of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
